Oral Care Technology Segmentation

The Challenge

In preparation of launching a consumer oriented innovative oral care device, our client needed to have a better understanding of current oral care behaviors and attitudes, as well as receptivity to its concept.

The Solution

We started with qualitative research to lay a foundation of knowledge about perceptions and behaviors. A 4-day short-term community was first conducted, followed by in-depth interviews to dig deeper into findings. An online survey engaged 1,600n respondents. Data from the survey was utilized to run segmentation and develop segments of interest.

The Outcome

From this research program, the client left with a clear understanding of who their highest opportunity segments are, how to reach them, and what features/benefits to communicate to them to garner interest in the concept.
