Testing a New Financial Product for a Large Financial Firm

The Challenge

Our client, one of the largest credit unions in Canada, needed research to inform a potential launch of a new shares product. The client challenged Lux to explore reactions to the product, identify potential areas of confusion, and understand how messaging of the product can be optimized.

The Solution

An online, short-term community was utilized to connect with 28 participants over the course of 3 days. This included current customers, non-customers, and employees. 

The Outcome

Our client learned that familiarity with the product type was low, however, receptivity was high. They also learned what factors were most important in evaluating this type of product. Results were used to help shape the features and messaging surrounding the product introduction to market.
