Testing Potential Names for a Car Wash

The Challenge

Our client, one of the largest car wash providers in the US, needed to conduct research to explore the right name for their car wash at select locations. The client commissioned Lux to complete consumer testing research with 3 proposed names. The goal: Understand how users felt about each car wash name and select the one that best described their car wash preferences.

The Solution

An online survey engaged 800n car wash users, targeting regions of interest in the US. Analysis included Name testing, Indexing, RBS (Relative Brand Strength) and SWOT/Action Grid analysis.

The Outcome

Our client was able to identify the most important decision criteria for car washes in the selected locations and reaffirm how each name is perceived among consumers. They were able to identify the name that best fit the need of car washes users.
