This entry-level role is perfect for individuals who are eager to jumpstart their careers in market research and data analysis. As an Insights Analyst, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in designing, extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to uncover valuable insights that drive business success.

As an Insights Analyst, you will support a variety of team members and work on an exciting array of projects across the technology, CPG, retail, finance, non-profit and education industries to name a few. You will build fundamental skills in market research, including learning and practicing quantitative and qualitative research.

This role works closely with a project team, acting as project support for multiple projects concurrently. For quantitative projects, you will support questionnaire design, programming and QA, data collection, data tabulation, analysis, and reporting. For qualitative projects, you will support screener design, recruitment, discussion guide design, interviewing/moderating, analysis, and reporting. You will typically work with a mix of external vendor partners and internal teammates.

An Insights Analyst is responsible for:

  • Project management and support: Work with senior team members on quantitative and qualitative projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, including but not limited to:
    • Questionnaire/screener/discussion guide design
    • Survey programming and testing
    • Note-taking at qualitative research (e.g., online interviews, focus groups)
    • Qualitative in-depth interviewing
    • Data checking/quality assurance
    • Data analysis: crosstabs and advanced analytics
    • Data presentation: charts, tables, infographics
    • Story development (including strategic recommendations)
    • Attending client meetings and presentations
    • Secondary research
  • Vendor management: Liaise with suppliers for support services related to project work.
  • Client management: With support, develop and maintain client relationships by providing excellent service, research advice and insightful, strategic thinking.
  • Business development: With support, cost and support proposal writing.
  • Team collaboration: Collaborate with different team members to ensure project execution success.

  • Receive an annual salary which is in the $48,000 to $55,000 CAD range for this role, includes 4 weeks vacation, offers a fully remote and flexible work environment, and a range of other benefits.

Location of Position
Fully remote (The Lux team is moving to fully remote work in May 2024. That said, preference will be given to candidates in the Vancouver, BC area given we plan to meet in person as a team monthly).
