JustGreet is a Vancouver based start-up that offers an alternative online gifting medium through which users can send high quality paper greeting cards (not e-cards) in the mail to any address across Canada at a minimal cost and in a few simple steps.
With emails and technology replacing the virtue of a handheld note, JustGreet is hoping to recapture the moment of joy experienced when receiving a greeting card in the mail.
JG plans to launch in Vancouver in the fall of 2015. Prior to launch, the company partnered with Lux to undertake market research to better define their launch strategy and confirm or deny hypotheses through concept testing with online research.
JustGreet, a local Vancouver start-up needed a cost-effective way to “get out of the building” and understand market reaction to its product.
Quantitative research: online survey with Metro Vancouver residents using Vision Critical’s highlighter tool to get feedback on positioning and Van Westendorp analytics to determine optimal pricing. We then forecast the size of the potential market by folding in Census data.
For less than a $10K budget, JustGreet now has a proof that there is a demand for their product and who their market is. They now understand which differentiators are going to make them successful and that they can price higher than they originally thought.
