Powerful Storytelling Builds Brand

In early May, several members of the Lux team attended the American Marketing Association Puget Sound (AMAPS)’s annual conference ‘MarketMix: The Evolution of Brand.’ We were fortunate to learn and chat with industry leaders including Rob Smith, Editor of Seattle Business Magazine, Dave Miller, President of Stoke Strategy, and have our own CEO and Founder, Claire Booth, as a guest speaker.

Creating a relevant, unique and authentic brand is challenging in today’s competitive markets and crowded digital landscape. It’s an active topic of discussion given its relevance across all businesses and departments. One takeaway we all gained from MarketMix was the power of storytelling. Whether it is through digital or traditional mediums, storytelling cultivates personal connection. Ensure the stories told support the culture, goals, and values of the organization; in addition to aligning with consumers’ perceptions and offering them value.

We recognize that brand can be challenging to navigate, thanks to a wide array of opinions, a changing competitive landscape, and the assortment of potential stories (images and messages) to choose from.
